TVChoice posts an ABC of 1,302,382 putting the magazine way ahead of the market performance year on year and once again reinforcing its position as the nation’s favourite magazine, with newsstand sales still in excess of 1.3 million copies per week. The gap between it and number two in the market, What’s On TV has also grown year on year and is now in excess of 56,000 copy sales per week.
H Bauer’s Total TVGuide has also put in an excellent performance with an ABC of 110,748 – up period on period in terms of newsstand sales. Subscriptions for the title have also grown by 23% per cent year on year. Total TVGuide with it’s depth of multichannel listings is in a great position to consolidate this growth as the roll out of digital switchover continues across the country. Liz Watkinson, Publishing Director of H Bauer’s listings portfolio believes the listing market overall is well placed to benefit from a renewed interest in in-home entertainment. “The recession has seen a revived interest in the great family night in. With TV viewing at its highest since 1992, and TV listings magazines enhancing the planning and viewing experience like no other medium, these magazines continue to have an important role to play at the heart of family life.”
TV Quick posts an ABC of 122,847, whilst this is down year on year, sales of the title are stabilizing following a redesign in July 2009.
