Take a Break Puts in a Stronger than Market Performance as a New Editor Prepares to Take the Helm

H Bauer's Take a Break, the UK’s biggest selling women’s magazine, has outperformed the true life market to post an ABC of 833,522, down just (2.6%) pop and (7.4%) year on year. Despite increasingly tough economic conditions, Take a Break’s share of the true life sector remains impressive; the title outsells its nearest rival by more than 400,000 copies a week. 

This places Take a Break in a strong position to ride the storm of the recession and as new editor, Rebecca Fleming prepares to take the helm, the publisher promises some innovative editorial developments in the months ahead. that’s life!,  the number 3 title in its sector is closing in on the number 2 spot, driven by the impact of new editor Sophie Hearsey.  that’s life! posts an ABC of 335,772,  and with its performance down just over 5,000 copies in the second half of the year, has significantly outperformed the market
